Danny Cortes - Certificate of Authenticity
BRIEF
Danny Cortes is a world renowned artist from Bushwick, Brooklyn, creating diorama’s of NYC street objects and gritty scenes from the city’s past. Known for his authentic perspective and detailed textures, Nash worked with Danny as he continues his rise as one of today’s premier artists.
The Problem: Customers currently do not have an unique ‘Certificate of Authenticity’ upon purchasing a Danny Cortes piece, but rather a simple printed document with a signature and some basic information. Our goal with this project was to create a one-of-a-kind booklet that as special as his finished pieces.

THE CONCEPT
There’s nothing more street than the New York Newsstand. Almost gone but never forgotten, the Newsstand became the basis of our project, turning the storefront into a front and back cover booklet. Danny is shown here adding texture, rust, and stickers to the front and back cover art before printing.
Outside of the covers, inside the booklet includes detailed information about Danny’s story, promotional information, and most importantly, a unique “Lotto Ticket” signed by Danny himself.
Since each piece is completely unique, the lotto ticket serves as a ‘prized ticket’ for the customer. Also lotto tickets are frequently purchased at Newsstands of course. The golden ticket is reserved for completely custom from scratch pieces, wile the white and red ticket is for casted models that Danny will then hand paint.
